Ray Truitt - County Chairman
I am kind of a Don Quixote, fighting impossible challenges or swinging at windmills and impossible dreams. The Sanpete County Constitution Party was certainly one of them; by the time Bryce Hamilton appointed me chairman for Sanpete.
I was never blessed with a single ambition. I’ve been a janitor, security guard, private detective, a police officer, an electronic circuit designer for the local processing plant, a computer programmer, which I actually have a degree in, a radio announcer (trade school degree), an editor for the Utah State Lion’s Club newspaper and a newspaper correspondent for the two local newspapers in North Sanpete.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
March 23, 2004
Sanpete County Caucus & Convention
Spring City Hall
150 E Center St, Spring City, UT 84662
My first job, I started cleaning typewriters and eventually repaired them. The last thirteen years of my working life I ran a small computer repair business along with working for the local papers. I’ve written two science fiction novels back in the late 1990”s that aren’t very well known but available at Barnes and Noble Help Desk (Advertisement!!!). I truly became a “jack of all trades” and a master of none.” But that’s me. I made a living but never made a lot of money. The one thing I’m really good at is organizing.
My hobbies are writing stories, making odd electronic stuff work together including computers, programming in Visual Basic and recently model trains that I share with one brother and one sister.
My weird corner is I don’t like the Internet, other than streaming video, text, emails and phone type services. The application programs (what now-days are called Apps), I find totally frustrating. They’re like driving a car without a steering wheel and you don’t know where they are going.
